Singer complains of severe chest pains

Amy Winehouse is being treated at The London Clinic

Amy Winehouse is being treated in hospital for a suspected chest infection.

The singer - who was diagnosed with a mild form of the lung disease emphysema in June - was taken to The London Clinic on Saturday after she became ill.

Fans wondered if Amy, who is looking very fragile and is said to have developed yellow teeth, had returned to rehab but this has been denied.

‘Amy is in hospital being checked out for a chest infection,’ her spokesperson tells the Daily Mirror.

‘She is not back in rehab. She should be fine and is expected to return home soon.’

Earlier this month it was reported the 25-year-old was on suicide watch after reportedly threatening to stab herself.

It is thought she became distressed after her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, rejected an offer of parole last month.

In July he was given a 27-month sentence for trial fixing and grievous bodily harm and is being held at Edmunds Hill Prison.
