Was Lindsay Lohan nobbled by Ugly Betty?

Actress said to have clashed with America Ferrera

Lindsay Lohan plays a former classmate of Betty's in the new series

Lindsay Lohan's run in Ugly Betty has unexpectedly been cut short.

‘Lindsay was scheduled for 6 episodes and is appearing in 4 but had a lovely time,’ confirms her spokesperson.

US sources claim the reason for her early exit is that she clashed with lead America Ferrera, 24.

The pair are said to have fallen out during a scene where Lindsay, 22, has her pants pulled down.

During rehearsals, America is reported to have joked around and unnecessarily exposed her rival’s thong.   

‘She was mean to Lindsay,’ a source claims. ‘Producers give her too much power. Lindsay didn't do the last 2 episodes because America didn't like her and got her kicked off.’
 
But her rep has rubbished the claims.

‘America is grateful to have had her on the show and thinks everyone should tune in to see how great the episodes are,’ Carrie Byalick tells Page Six.
