Billie Piper names her baby boy

Actress has new son with husband Laurence Fox

Billie Piper has become a mum for the first time.

The actress gave birth to a baby boy by Caesarean section at London's Portland Hospital at 1am this morning.

Husband Laurence Fox, 30, has confirmed his new son, who weighed 6lb 11oz, will be named Winston James.

Billie had been in labour for 26 hours before her emergency op, reports BBC News.

'At the time of this writing, the little fella is not even 15 hours old,' Laurence writes on his online blog. 'He is cute as you like and didn't cry once for the few minutes I was there which was just a few moments ago.'

Billie, 26, plans to take a break from acting to raise her newborn.

'For the moment I’m just going to focus on being a mum and that’s kind of a relief because I don’t have to think about the rest of my career,' she said recently.
