Insignificant Tom is losing control as a radiant Katie pushes him further away
Tuesday, 21 October 2008
Praise for Katie Holmes' stage performances in All My Sons continues to flood in and husband Tom Cruise is being pushed more and more into the wings.
At the play’s opening night aftershow party at Espace in New York last Thursday, Katie looked every inch the Hollywood siren.
It was plain to see that the 29-year-old’s now a far cry from the girl we’re used to seeing on the red carpet, smiling coyly while stuck to Tom, 46, like his accessory.
Not even the presence of 35 anti-Scientology protesters could eclipse Katie’s star. The activists carried signs reading ‘Run, Katie, run!’ and chanted ‘Scientology kills’ from a cordoned-off area down the road from the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
‘Nothing could ruin Katie’s night. She seemed amazingly confident,’ said an onlooker. ‘She really looked like she’d suddenly blossomed.
'Later, when she was with Tom, she seemed to tower over him more than ever. I’ve seen them out together before and the height of her heels seems to have increased.
'He just looked like this insignificant little man beside her. He’s being increasingly sidelined.’

Crazy talk.
My G-d how she towers over him. He looks like a little kid. Is she that tall?
No it isn't.
Praise for her performance? Did you read the same reviews we all did? Awkward, shrill, lack of confidence were common terms.
At least she knows she has the publics' support if she wants to leave that little troll and his crazy sci-fi cult. She's too high-profile for the cult to try and retaliate like they normally would.
