Cheryl Cole has been comforting tearful contestants on The X Factor and it seems that the Girls Aloud star doesn't have any sympathy to spare.
Hubby Ashley, 27, who was booed by England fans on 11 October and had to pull out of the squad with an injury, needs her more than ever. But she’s told him she wants time for herself.
A source tells Now: ‘Cheryl feels for Ashley – she knows how disappointed he felt last week. He was forced to just stay at home playing computer games while his team-mates carried on without him.
'She didn’t see him much when he was training, so now that he’s injured, he thought she’d spend more time with him. But Cheryl told him that she couldn’t drop everything to massage his ego and give him constant hugs and kisses.’
Cheryl, 25, refused to abandon her X Factor contestants. Neither would she let down her Girls Aloud bandmates, who’d been rehearsing to perform new single The Promise on Saturday’s show.
‘She loves him, but, after all the pain he’s put her through, she’s putting herself first,' says our source.
