Singer bombards Friends stars with romantic texts

John Mayer is said to be trying to get back with Jennifer Aniston – just 2 months after they split.
In a series of soppy texts, the singer is believed have promised the Friends star he'll curb his partying ways.
‘John and Jennifer had a pretty acrimonious break-up,’ says a source. ‘For a while Jen cut off all ties and refused to speak to him.
'But over the past few weeks they’ve both realised how good they were together and how much they mean to one another.
‘John initially called things off because he didn’t feel ready for commitment. But after time apart, his priorities have changed and he wants to make a go of things.
‘Determined to show he’s a changed man, John has cut right back down on his drinking and has pledged to quit smoking - 2 things that really annoyed Jennifer.’
John and Jen, 39, were reunited last week for dinner at Sunset Towers in LA after he played her some of his new songs. She also helped him celebrate his 31st birthday.
‘He has written a song about their time together and played it to Jennifer who, naturally, was incredibly touched,’ the source tells the Daily Mirror.
The pair split in August after 5 months together because John didn’t think the ‘chemistry was right’.
