Nelly Furtado and Demacio Castellon decided to keep their wedding private

Nelly Furtado has revealed that fiancé Demacio Castellon became her husband 3 months ago.

The singer exchanged vows with the sound engineer over the summer in a secret ceremony.

‘We got married 19 July,’ she tells Entertainment Tonight Canada. ‘I love it. It's a nice phase of my life.’

Nelly, 29 - who is mum to 5-year-old Nevis from a previous relationship - met Demacio in 2006 and they became engaged last year.

She's finding being Mrs Castellon great fun.

‘I just feel kind of free and relaxed and more in tune with trying not to be so stressed out,’ she admits. ‘[I'm] trying to enjoy things a little more.’
