Presenters take part in record-breaking show

Ben Shephard and Fearne Cotton admit they were scared stiff about taking part

Fearne Cotton and Ben Shephard were flung into the air in a human catapult for a new TV show.

The presenters feature on Sky One's Guinness World Records Smashed! – but admit they weren’t confident about taking part in the stunt.

‘It was the most terrifying thing that I've ever done in my entire life,’ Fearne, 27, reveals.

‘The weightlessness that you feel when you reach the top is worse than I imagined.’

GMTV's Ben, 33, was more worried about keeping his tackle safe.

‘The close proximity of the harness to my man bits was particularly concerning,’ he says.

‘But the feeling of being shot up in the air at such high speed is unbelievable. Pure adrenaline!

'As soon as you land on your feet, you're like, wow, I want to do it again.’

Guinness World Records Smashed! will air on Sky One next month.
