Al Murray separates from wife Amber

Comedian devastated at break-up of marriage

Al Murray is said to be very distressed by the break-up of his relationship

Comedy star Al Murray has announced his split from Australian wife Amber – after 8 years of marriage.

The pair agreed to call time on their marriage a few weeks ago.

Al, 40, has now moved out of the marital home in Chiswick, west London.

‘He has separated from his wife. It is not what he wanted,’ his spokesperson tells The Sun. ‘Clearly, it is a distressing situation for the whole family.’

The devastated comedian and Amber, 31, are mum and dad to daughters Scarlett, 9, and Willow, 5.

She is hoping they will remain friends for the sake of their children.

‘It’s just one of those really sad things,’ says Amber.

‘There’s no one else involved and it’s very amicable. We still love and respect each other a lot. We’ve got little people, so we’re trying to do our best by them.’
