Comedian says he doesn't want track to sink without a trace

Alan Carr wanted to top the charts with Justin Lee Collins

Alan Carr has put plans to record a Christmas track on hold.

The comedian was working on a tune with Sunday Night Project co-host Justin Lee Collins, 36.

But after hearing that Gary Barlow, 37, and Peter Kay, 35, are also recording a comical festive duet, Alan, 32, had decided to pull out of the race.

'I was like: "Oh that's it, shit,"' he tells The Sun. 'I'd want mine to be No1, not blinking 20.'
