Singer to battle the new X factor winner

Leona Lewis is to release a Christmas single – putting her head to head with the next X Factor winner.
The singer, 23, who won the ITV talent show in 2006, is aiming for the coveted No1 slot with a cover of Snow Patrol’s hit Run.
‘Leona is covering Run and bringing it out just in time for Christmas,’ Snow Patrol bassist Paul Wilson reveals.
Snow Patrol are also releasing a Christmas single.
‘Really Simon Cowell doesn’t lose,’ an insider tells The Daily Star. ‘If Leona’s No1 or if The X Factor winner is, he’ll benefit from both.’
For the past 4 years the Xmas No1 slot been filled by the winner of The X Factor.

She isn't releasing 'Run' as a single. It's going to be on the re-release of 'Spirit' that is due out before Xmas.
