Craig Revel Horwood is to face questioning over claims he entered into a sham marriage to gain British residency.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge, 43, is being investigated after a series of letters were discovered that question the motives behind his wedding in 1990.
Australian Craig allegedly left his wife after a year to live with his gay partner – but apparently claimed to officials he was still happily married.
In one letter to the Immigration Department, dated March 1992, Craig is said to have written: ‘My wife and I have been living together since our marriage on 20 August 1990.’
But he was already living with Lloyd Rooney, with whom he had a 15-year relationship.
Jane Horwood, 47, says: 'My marriage to Craig was never a sham.'
Craig has not commented.
