Cheeky Girl says she felt obliged to accept his marriage proposal

Gabriela Irimia and MP Lembit Opik had planned a wedding in Wales

Gabriela Irimia has revealed that she bitterly regrets getting involved with MP Lembit Opik.

The Cheeky Girl ended her 2-year relationship with the 43-year-old politician in July - just 3 months after he proposed.

‘I was very depressed with Lembit,’ Gabriel admits. ‘I felt like I was brainwashed. I felt too bad [to say no].'

Now the 25-year-old singer has found herself a new partner – property developer Nick Zapolski, 26.

‘I know people will think I’m rushing in, but Nick and I are totally in love,’ she says. ‘I don’t miss Lembit at all!’

Shortly after Gabriela split with Lembit she revealed she'd had a secret miscarriage that he knew nothing about.
