Simon Cowell 'pays for George Sampson's schooling'

Britain’s Got Talent winner receives private tuition

Simon Cowell is said to be forking out £2,000 per week on private tuition for George Sampson.

The X Factor judge wants the breakdancer to achieve good GCSE grades to get into drama academy the Brit School in Croydon, London.

‘Simon knows George is spending a lot of time dancing and that he’s loving living his dream but he’s insistent he needs his exams and should do well,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘The bill of a top private tutor is going to run into big money by next year but Simon is insistent that it is cash well spent. And let’s face it, he can afford it.’

George has found it almost impossible to attend Birchwood High School in Warrington, Cheshire, since winning Britain’s Got Talent in May.

So Simon, 48, hopes the 30 hours of private sessions per week will make up for it.

‘Most teenagers wouldn’t be too chuffed to get more lessons but George is quite happy and he wants to set a good example to fans,’ adds the source.

Meanwhile, George, 15, has started filming his debut dance DVD, which will be released in December.

He is also thought to have provided vocals for some of the backing tracks.
