Actor hits out at BBC chat show host
Thursday, 2 October 2008
Kevin Spacey had a pop at Jonathan Ross at the Virgin Media Shorts Awards on Monday night.
The actor, 49, was one of the judges at the ceremony and couldn't resist making a swipe at the chat show host.
‘When are they going to fire that f*cking unfunny, overpaid guy and let [Johnny Vaughn] host the Baftas?’ he asked the audience.
Earlier this year Kevin - who is the artistic director of the Old Vic theatre in London - criticised the BBC for promoting musicals by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
‘Maria was essentially a 13-week promotion for a musical on a public service broadcaster,’ he told Radio 4 in March.
‘You are not a commercial broadcaster and I thought that was crossing the line.’
Jonathan, 47, has a contract worth £18 million for a 3-year deal at the Beeb.

Spacey didn't say JR was overweight. He used an expletive which I won't repeat, and the whole thing was done with humor.

2 amazing prizes to be won!
