Singer hands over donation to kids in The Bronx
Thursday, 2 October 2008
Britney Spears visited a school in The Bronx yesterday to present a £5,000 cheque.
The singer was treated to a performance by an eight-piece band before handing over the donation, which will fund its new music programme.
‘I really enjoyed the time I spent at the John Philip Souza Middle School,’ Britney tells People.
'I loved hearing the school orchestra and the children sang so beautifully.
'The fact that Elizabeth Arden made such a large donation for the school music studio in my name was so generous.’
Britney, 26, was later serenaded by a chorus of seven girls.
