Gary Glitter 'evicted from Mayfair home'

Neighbours said to have wanted him out

Gary Glitter's request to go on holiday to Spain and France was denied last week

Gary Glitter has been kicked out of his swanky new apartment, according to reports.

The convicted paedophile had taken up residence in a £2,000-a-week flat in Mayfair, London.

But local residents are thought to have campaigned to have him evicted.

‘It turned out certain neighbours objected to him being there,’ a source tells The Sun.

‘I mean, would you pay over a million quid for a flat to find out Gary Glitter had moved in next door?

'Talk about driving down your property price.’

A team of ex-military minders apparently helped him shift his belongings, including dumbells and several DVDs.

Gary, 64, real name Paul Gadd, returned to the UK last month after serving 27 months in a Vietnamese prison for sexually abusing two girls, aged 10 and 11.

His landlord refused to comment.
