Simon Pegg found fame on TV show Spaced

Simon Pegg has launched a surprising attack on Ricky Gervais.

The writer/actor took offence at comments The Office star made about the British film industry.

‘He said there have been no good British films since 1950,’ he tells Heart FM radio. ‘What an idiot.’

And Simon then had a pop at Ricky for being overweight.

‘He’s one of the fat people in LA, yes,’ he added.

Simon, 38, currently stars in How To Lose Friends And Alienate People.
