Gwyneth Paltrow: Cutting my hair was part of the grieving process

Actress reveals why she decided to finally chop her long locks

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she couldn't cut her hair after the death of her father.

The actress, 36, lost her dad Bruce Paltrow in 2002.

‘I kept my hair long because, when my dad died, I didn’t want to cut it off,’ she tells The Daily Mail. ‘I think it was because it was the hair he knew.

‘Then one day I was on a shoot [and] I suddenly said: “I need to cut it now.” It was almost as if it was part of the grieving process. I just had to let something go.’

Gwyneth, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 31, has started a trend with her new long bob.
