Courts deny his request to go to Spain and France

Gary Glitter has been banned from going on a trip abroad.
The convicted paedophile had informed authorities that he was planning to travel to Spain via France.
But Ashford magistrates granted an order, requested by Kent Police, stopping him from leaving the country.
‘Kent Police will do everything necessary to protect children in this country, or abroad,’ a police spokesman tells the BBC.
The ban can last up to six months and the shamed singer has the right to appeal.
Gary, 64, returned to the UK in August after spending 27 months in a Vietnamese jail for abusing two girls aged 10 and 11.
He has been made to sign the sex offenders’ register.
