Singers Sticky & Sweet show overruns by 40 minutes

Madonna will have to pay the price for going on stage late at her Wembley Stadium gig earlier this month.
The 50-year-old Material Girl flouted the 10.30pm curfew on 11 September when her Sticky & Sweet show overran by 40 minutes.
‘The concert was meant to start at 8.30pm but Madonna didn’t come on stage until 9.10pm,’ a source tells The Sun.
‘The gig ended at 11.10pm so she was quite a bit over. Her people knew about the possible implications for going over the curfew but this is a pretty hefty fine, even for Madonna.’
Wembley Stadium charges £50,000 for every 15 minutes an act plays over the 10.30pm deadline, which means she'll have to pay £135,000.
George Michael, 45, was fined £130,000 when his concert ran late last year.

In state of law, there is a proportionalitiy between the "fault" and the damage. This penalty is highly exagerate and I have the feeling that the local bureaucrats have acted here not very differently as Russian colleagues would act, colleagues for which have so much disdain.
