But presenter’s husband Richard Madeley gets rid of her blues

Judy Finnigan says she probably wouldn't still be on TV if it wasn't for husband Richard Madeley

Judy Finnigan has revealed that she has a tendency to depression and introspection.

But she says her always upbeat husband Richard Madeley is fantastic at lifting her mood.

She suffered post-natal depression after having daughter Chloe, 19, and after the death of her mother last year the 60-year-old presenter says she struggled with thoughts of death.

‘For about 3 months I felt panic attacks and was brooding on my own mortality,’ she says.

'Death does bother me, there’s no doubt about it.’

Fortunately Richard, 52, is the opposite.

‘Richard is so good with me when I’m feeling gloomy,’ she tells Seven. ‘He’s an extrovert. Always happy. It's a gift.’

Richard And Judy’s New Position stars on Tuesday at 8pm on Watch.
