Matthew Goode says he took his gay smooch in Brideshead Revisited in his stride.
The actor had to get intimate with Ben Whishaw in the flick.
‘I think the kiss is fine,’ he says. ‘I mean you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t, really.
'Some will see it as a cop out that we didn’t show more… all I can say is it’s such a good story and we had so much fun making the film.’
The 30-year-old also had to get naked for a skinny-dipping scene on location in chilly Yorkshire.
‘It was cold – I think the crew will vouch for me on that,’ Matthew tells Observer Magazine. ‘My teeth were chattering.
'But it’s liberating in a way, saying: “Hello everyone, this is my cock. I hope we can work with it for the next three hours”.’
Brideshead Revisited was released on 3 October.
