Singer fed up with his songs being slammed
Friday, 26 September 2008
James Blunt has vowed never to sing again if he's given enough money.
The star has been criticised for his soppy ballads.
So he's thought of a way to resolve the issue.
'If someone is prepared to pay me enough, I'll stop,' he tells Uncut.
But James, 34, still can't understand why people badmouth him.
'If someone puts some chocolate cake in front of you and you don't like it, but there's some cheesecake to the right, would you start screaming at the chef?' he says.
'Just eat the cheesecake without calling the chef the Antichrist.'

The greatest artists have been hardly criticized along history. And Blunt shouldn't be shaken by those unable not only to understand sensitive songs but also to digest the success of someone different from "the mass". His message of love and humanity is rare and necessary for many. He must care for those and never sell your soul to the industry.
