Frasier actor says he was exercising too much

Kelsey Grammer says his strict workout regime contributed to the heart attack he suffered in June.
The 53-year-old Frasier actor thinks he was trying to do too much.
‘The heart attack wasn’t anticipated,’ he admits. 'I had gained a little bit of weight and had started an “I’m going to lose all my weight in one day” exercise programme.
'That wasn’t wise.’
But the actor says the outlook for his health is good.
'There are actual steps I can take to fix things, so it's not that bad,' he tells Metro. ‘My doctor said: “You’re not dying of cancer, you don’t have a brain tumour, this is going to get better."
‘Each day is a little more precious. The moments with my family are more valuable. It’s a reminder I need to enjoy my life more and that’s a good thing.’
He has 2 children with wife Camille and a daughter from his marriage to actress Doreen Alderman.
