Elle Macpherson believes great underwear can change how you feel

Elle Macpherson has revealed that she uses saucy lingerie to make her feel sexier.

The model, who has her own range of underwear Elle Macpherson Intimates, believes sexy undies are the key to staying upbeat.

‘When I was younger I used to wear stockings and suspenders under boys’ jeans,’ she says.

‘It’s a little secret. Lingerie can engender confidence.’

Elle, 44, is also proud that her racy collection has proved critics wrong since going on sale in the States.

‘People said: “You’re never going to make money! In the American market people like black, white and tan bras and they don’t want to see any lace,”’ she tells Style magazine.

‘And in fact we are number one in a lot of areas in America.’
