Comedian says his groupies arent very attractive
Sunday, 28 September 2008
Frank Skinner says he’s had enough of one-night stands with unattractive women.
The comedian, who’s written a book about his time touring on the road, says he’s had his fair share of meaningless sex.
‘You get good nights. And you get nights when you have to think, well, I don’t want to not have sex, because at breakfast the sound man and the tour manager will think I’m a failure.
'But when people think of groupies, they think of Kate Hudson in Almost Famous. Whereas what they should think is Michelle McManus.
'But it means that a lot of ugly women get to have sex, so it’s not all bad,’ he jokes.
Frank, 51, says that's all in past now. ‘I say the time’s got to stop for one-night stands,’ he tells The Knowledge.
Frank Skinner On The Road is out on 2 October.
