Will Young: I'd love to reverse the smoking ban

Singer is fond of his cigarettes

Celebrity smoker: Will Young
Will Young thinks he should be left in peace to enjoy a cigarette

Will Young has revealed that he'd be happy to campaign against the bar on lighting up in public places.

The singer says he’s sick of not being able to enjoy a cigarette when he's out.

‘If I could pass any law I’d reverse the smoking ban,’ he says. ‘The amount of times I’m outside a building, in a public place, and someone says: “You can’t smoke here.” And I’m like: “I’m on the pavement, just you try and stop me!”

'I’m this far from doing a sit-down protest in Parliament Square.’

And Will, 29, says lighting a fag is the first thing he does when he wakes up.

‘I have a coffee and a cigarette and put on some music,’ he tells Sunday Express magazine.

His new album Let It Go is out on 29 September.
