Reality stars lawyer David McHugh must contribute
Wednesday, 24 September 2008
Bankrupt Kerry Katona will have to fork out over £10,000 in legal costs after a financial battle with her former agency was dismissed yesterday.
The reality TV star took James Grant Media Group to Warrington County Court to force them to disclose their accounts to see if they still owed her £172,000.
The judge said her lawyer David McHugh had been ‘incompetent’ and ‘deliberately misleading’ and ordered him to pay £3,500 of the £10,700 sum Kerry must pay.
‘This is yet another disaster for Kerry,’ her spokesman tells The Sun. ‘I feel sorry for her.’
Kerry, 28, was declared broke last month after she failed to pay £82,000 of a £417,000 tax bill.
