Rep says she stayed in LA to celebrate birthday

Nicole Richie turned 27 at the weekend

Nicole Richie didn’t visit her former fiancé DJ AM in hospital at the weekend after he was in a plane crash.

The socialite's ex, real name Adam Goldstein, was injured in the accident in South Carolina, which killed four people.

But Nicole's rep insists she stayed at home with her daughter Harlow and fiancé Joel Madden, 29.

‘Nicole Richie didn't fly anywhere Saturday and on Sunday, was in LA celebrating her birthday,’ the spokesman tells Xtra.

Adam, 35, remains in a critical condition in a Georgia hospital and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, 32, is also being treated for severe burns.

The pair had been on their way home from performing a gig in Columbia when their jet burst into flames on the runway.

Nicole, 27, dated Adam for two years until 2005.
