Shayne Ward: After 7 years together, Faye and I don't need to get engaged

The X Factor 2005 winner doesn't want to rush into anything

Shayne Ward plans to settle down with girlfriend Faye McKeever

Shayne Ward doesn't feel that he and girlfriend Faye McKeever need to formalise their relationship.

The X Factor 2005 winner, 26 - who has a new album out called Obsession - has been dating Faye, 25, for 7 years but there's no sparkling diamond on her third finger left hand yet.

'You could say we're already engaged,' says Shayne. 'We've talked about it and I think it's going to happen - it will be in the next couple of years.'

Faye is obviously a very patient girl.

'The thing about me and Faye is that we don't feel like we have to take it to the next level,' says the singer. 

'We are already very comfortable how we are.'
