Toxic singer is due in court next month
Friday, 19 September 2008
Britney Spears could go on trial next month after being accused of driving without a licence.
The 26-year-old singer is due at Los Angeles Superior Court on 15 October.
The case relates to an incident in August 2007 when Britney bumped her Mercedes into a parked car in California.
She was caught on camera driving off without leaving a note.
A hit-and-run charge was dropped but prosecutors claim she did not have a valid licence for the city at the time.
Britney did have a permit to drive in Louisiana.
