Britney Spears to appear on The X Factor

Singer to perform comeback track

Britney Spears won 3 gongs at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month

Britney Spears is being lined up to perform on The X Factor.

The Toxic star is expected to sing comeback single Womanizer on the ITV show in December.

‘Everyone is thrilled,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘To have Britney involved is a massive coup.

'They expect ratings to go through the roof when her performance airs.’

Britney, 26, has not been in the UK since her last world tour in 2004.

It is thought she will release new album Circus just before Christmas.
