Rex Newmark got close to Stephanie McMichael before she was evicted

Rex Newmark has denied kissing Big Brother housemate Stephanie McMichael.

The finalist was snapped cuddling the blonde in a hotel after the show’s wrap party last week.

But he insists she jumped on him after his own girlfriend Nicole Cammack had gone to bed.

‘She lay on the bed and said: “Give me a hug,” so I did,’ Rex says.

‘And that was when the picture was apparently taken. Then she left. Someone was obviously waiting to take that picture. I think Steph was working with someone in the room.’

Rex, 24, who enjoyed a brief flirtation with Steph, 19, before she was evicted from the house, says it’s ruined their friendship.

‘My biggest mistake was ever talking to Steph,’ he says. ‘I really can’t stand her. I’ll never speak to her again.’

But Nicole, 19, is far from happy with his explanation.

‘I warned Rex about Steph,' she says. 'He thinks he did nothing wrong, but I warned him. He got himself into trouble.'
