TV presenter says she's so proud of her husband
Sunday, 21 September 2008
Emma Griffiths is confident her new husband Matt Willis is winning his battle against alcoholism.
The TV presenter stood by him when he checked into for rehab for drink issues just weeks before their wedding in July.
It was the second time former Busted singer Matt has sought treatment. He also spent a spell in rehab in April 2005.
'He's really well,' she says. 'He's not drinking and it seems to be working - touch wood - which is amazing.
'I'm so proud of him. He looks and feels better and is playing his guitar and writing music again.'
Emma, 32, is hoping they'll be able to start a family once he's beaten his demons.
'Hopefully babies will happen,' she says. 'Matt's only 25 so it's different for him, but I'm ready – we definitely want a family.'
