Jade Goody's mum vows to be there for her daughter

Jackiey Budden will move into reality star’s home

Jade Goody will now have radiotherapy and chemotherapy to beat the cancer

Jade Goody’s mum has said she will be there for her daughter every step of the way while she battles cervical cancer.

Jackiey Budden moved into the reality star’s home after she underwent a hysterectomy last week.

‘I’ll stay for as long as Jade wants me,’ she says. ‘She’s been told she can’t lift anything for 8 weeks, not even a kettle, so I’ll be doing everything for her. I’ll cook, clean, give her plenty of hugs.’

Jackiey, 51, is hoping to make amends for her failures as a parent when Jade, 27, was growing up.

‘I haven’t been perfect and poor Jade had to grow up much too fast,’ she says. ‘But I’m here for her now and it’s time for me to act like a mother.’

But she’s convinced her daughter will make a full recovery.

‘She’s gone into positive mode,’ she says. ‘She says things like: “I’m not going to let it beat me”. And I’m the same. I’ve got to be strong for Jade, even though I’m frightened.’
