Crooks also get away with a £10 note
Tuesday, 16 September 2008
Thieves reportedly broke into Kate Moss' Range Rover – and stole a box of chocolates.
The crooks, who also got away with a £10 note, are said to have struck outside her north London home.
But they did not find a £200,000 solitaire diamond ring that Kate apparently left in the vehicle.
‘Kate was absolutely distraught when she saw broken glass on the driveway and realised that her car had been broken into,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.
‘She wasn't sure what she'd left on the backseat and initially feared they'd got away with a £200k diamond solitaire ring.
'Then she had a closer look and was thrilled to find just how little was missing.
‘The police were called and they took the break-in extremely seriously.
'Unfortunately the criminals are still at large, though - £10 better off and a little bit chubbier.’
