Nicole Kidman named Hollywood's most overpaid star

Actress beats Jennifer Garner and Tom Cruise in new list

Nicole Kidman is the actress least likely to give a good return at the box office, claims Forbes.

The business magazine's annual list of Hollywood's Most Overpaid Movie Stars compares the earning powers of celebrities to how much their films actually make.

Nicole, 41, topped the chart after her most recent films made an average profit of $1 for every dollar she was paid. In the 2007 list her films made $8 per dollar of her fee.

‘Despite winning an Oscar for 2002’s The Hours, Kidman has become the most overpaid celebrity in Hollywood,’ says Forbes.

Jennifer Garner, 36, came a close second after her flicks The Kingdom and Catch And Release underperformed.

Tom Cruise, 46, was the highest-ranking man in third spot, with a $4 return for every dollar he was paid.

Cameron Diaz, 35, and Jennifer Lopez, 38, complete the top 5.

Russell Crowe, 44, topped the list last year.
