Singer hopes to up sticks and go to Suffolk village
Thursday, 11 September 2008
Amy Winehouse is close to purchasing a £750,000 country retreat.
The seven-bedroom farmhouse in Suffolk includes stables, three acres of land and a detached barn.
‘Amy has been looking for something in the area — and this particular place really is the ideal location,’ a source tells The Sun.
‘It is a really quiet, hidden spot where she would be away from the chaos of her life in London and could concentrate properly on getting her life back on track again.’
And dad Mitch, 57, thinks it’ll be the perfect place for Amy, 24, and jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, to rebuild their lives when he's released.
‘I hope she will be very happy there,’ he says. ‘When Blake comes out of prison the two of them are going to need somewhere to live together.’
