Oasis star assaulted by man at gig
Tuesday, 9 September 2008
Noel Gallagher has suffered a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage after he was pushed over during the band's set.
The Oasis star, 41, was ambushed from behind by a man while he was on the guitar at the V Festival in Toronto, Canada, on Sunday.
He ‘fell heavily onto his monitor speakers’, says the band’s website.
Security quickly stepped in and Noel’s brother Liam, 35, had to be restrained before the group came back on stage.
Daniel Sullivan, 47, has been charged over the incident.
Oasis may be forced to cancel a gig in Ontario on Tuesday.
