The Harry Potter star says the age difference 'wasn't ridiculous'.
But US reports claim the gap would ‘freak some people out’.
Meanwhile, co-star Emma Watson, 18, says she’s less keen to reveal details about her personal life.
‘People have the feeling of knowing me intimately because they’ve seen my change from child to woman,’ she tells Italian Vogue.
Daniel, 19, is about to reprise his role as a psychiatric patient in Equus on Broadway.
