Jools Oliver: Jamie doesn't like me to dress like a tart

Celebrity chef prefers his wife in scruffy jeans to designer dresses

Jamie Oliver met Jools when they were both just 17

Jools Oliver reveals that her husband Jamie prefers her dressed down and make-up free than when she puts on the glitz.

‘He doesn’t like me to dress tartily,’ she says. ‘I was going out for a hen night the other day wearing a short, tight Marc Jacobs dress and pixie boots and he said: “I don’t like that.”’

But Jools, who has written a books about parenthood, says he thinks she looks ‘amazing’ in scruffy old jeans.

It's clear that even after 16 years together, the couple – both 33 – are still madly in love.

'There isn't a bad thing about Jamie,' she tells You magazine. 'He is the best man in the world.'
