Drinks giant will plug product alongside 007 movie
Wednesday, 3 September 2008
James Bond is swapping his vodka martinis for Coke Zero.
Soft drinks giant Coca-Cola has agreed a £5million deal to plug its brand alongside the movie.
Limited edition black bottles and a special Coca-Cola Zero Zero Seven logo have even been created to tie-in with the 007 title.
'Bond has to move with the times,' an industry source tells the Daily Star.
'And if that means switching drinks then so be it.'
Daniel Craig, 40, returns as James Bond in Quantum Of Solace next month.

WTF!!!!!!
Product placement in films is the surest way to get me to NEVER buy that product. To mess with an iconic character this way is offensive and irritating. Coke Zero tastes like bug spray anyway.
OMG WTF - NOW THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!! I can't believe the production company is willing to RISK pissing people off by this STUPID STUNT! What's next, Jesus sipping a SPRITE with Pilot? King Henry VIII having a "taco bell taco" while he watches Anne loose her head? I won't go watch a 2 hour commercial. Shame SHame SHame on production, and the actor for allowing this travesty. Wait ... hold it, no mor violence either... lets be proper.....NOT! James Bond, uses a Walther PPK, makes love to women, has cool gadgets, drinks alcohol (Martini shaken not stirred). Boycott this flick. Stop production companies from pushing commercials into traditional roles and ruining movies!
Life long, devoted Bond fan. Saw Dr No in college. I plan and would encourage campaign for all that if this happens in the movie -- BOO! LOUD AND LONG AT THE MOMENT IT HAPPENS ON THE SCREEN.
