Singer said to be chanting every day to help her find enlightenment
Tuesday, 2 September 2008
Amy Winehouse is said to have taken up Buddhist chanting in a bid to bring some peace into her life.
The 24-year-old singer is believed to be using the mantra Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.
‘One of her musicians introduced Amy to Buddhist chanting,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘She chants for 10 minutes in the mornings and just before she sleeps.
‘She has a string of Buddhist beads that she chants with, which she keeps in a red silk scarf. She says chanting is filling her life with positivity while she's trying to sort herself out.’
The chant is supposed to bring believers happiness and enlightenment. Let's hope it works for troubled Amy.
