Sticky & Sweet staff furious over 'second-class' treatment
Monday, 1 September 2008
Madonna has upset staff on her Sticky & Sweet tour by trying to cut corners with their accommodation.
Members of the tour crew were put up at a £50-a-night B&B in Nice while Madonna, 50, received VIP treatment at an £11,000-a-night castle.
‘Everyone is absolutely furious with her and some of them want to walk out of the tour,’ an insider reveals.
‘They feel they are being treated like second-class citizens, despite all their hard work over the last few months.’
In contrast, Madonna, husband Guy Ritchie, 39, daughter Lourdes, 11, and sons Rocco, 9, and David, 3, stayed at the 11th century Chateau Saint Jeannet and with 12 staff on hand, including a personal chef, beauty team, chiropractor and masseuse.
'Trouble has been brewing for a few months in the Madonna camp,' the source tells the Sunday Mirror.
'Now [staff] are being forced to stay in horrible places and fly on low-cost flights, while she is in the lap of luxury. Several are already talking about walking if things don't improve.'

Gee, haven't most, if not all her staff from previous years sued her over this kind of thing?
