Man arrested over stolen snaps of Kate Middleton and Prince William

Memory card recovered by police after tip-off

A man has been arrested for allegedly trying to sell photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton for £50,000.

The snaps were on a memory card that was on a camera nicked on Friday.

In the images, William and a bikini-clad Kate are seen taking a dip together during a recent holiday in Mustique in the Caribbean.

The pictures were recovered after two men giving false names attempted to sell them to The Sun.

The newspaper tipped off police and a 25-year-old man was arrested during a raid at an address in west London yesterday.

‘Shortly after midday on Friday August 29, police received an allegation of the theft of a digital camera,’ a police spokesman tells The Sun.

‘That was registered in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea.'

The man, who was held on suspicion of theft and attempted money laundering, has been bailed.
