Singer cancels appearance in Paris due to unexplained illness
Saturday, 30 August 2008
Amy Winehouse cancelled her appearance at a music festival in France this weekend 'at the last minute'.
Organisers of the Paris event said here was 'no explanation of the exact reasons for her absence' but a spokesman for London Ambulance Service has confirmed its paramedics were called to the singer's home.
'She was taken ill at her house and wasn't able to travel to France for the concert.'
Amy, 24, who has been diagnosed with lung disease emphysema, was hospitalised last month after reacting to prescribed medication.
Hopefully the troubled star will be well enough to appear at the Bestival festival on the Isle of Wight next week.IPC Media Limited, owner of nowmagazine.co.uk, will collect the address of the recipient solely to process your requests.
