Singer calls in lawyers to prevent exhibition showing saucy missives
Wednesday, 27 August 2008
Madonna has called in her lawyers to prevent an exhibition showing over a dozen raunchy notes she wrote in the 90s.
The singer, 50, sent a legal warning to organisers of the show Simply Madonna after she learned they were to feature love letters she sent then boyfriend James Albright.
‘Who wants private sentiments to someone they loved revealed?’ a source tells The Mirror. ‘Lawyers sent a warning. She hopes it will work.’
The letters are said to be signed 'Spanky' and covered in lipstick kisses.
The Simply Madonna Exhibition will be held at London’s Old Truman Brewery from 21 February until 22 March next year.
It will feature clothes, photographs, film props, costumes and personal items belonging to the star.
Madonna is currently on her Sticky & Sweet world tour.
