Paedophile is barely recognisable

Gary Glitter was jailed in Britain for having child porn images on his computer

Gary Glitter was pictured in a bizarre disguise when he ventured out in public yesterday.

The convicted paedophile returned to the UK last week after being released from a Vietnamese prison for sexually abusing two girls.

The former rocker, real name Paul Gadd, wore a large hat and orange wig for a trip to the shops.

Gary, 64, has also shaved off his familiar grey, pointed beard.

‘Glitter is terrified of being recognised because he knows he’s a pariah,’ a source tells The Sun.

‘He’s planned his change of look for ages and is so arrogant he was convinced he’d outwit everyone.

'But he looks more like a character from Little Britain. It’s pitiful.’

Gary was later spotted at a luxury car showroom looking at a three-year-old £25,995 Mercedes ML350.

He has been made to sign the sex offenders’ register.
