Girls Aloud rubbish rumours of new member

Group say they're happy with current line-up

Girls Aloud say they get fed up with false stories about the band

Girls Aloud have hit out at stories that they are taking part in a talent show to find a new member.

Reports at the weekend claimed the group was in talks with TV producers to launch the X Factor-style programme.

But on their website Cheryl Cole, 25, Kimberley Walsh, 26, Nadine Coyle, 23, Nicola Roberts, 22, and Sarah Harding, 26, have rubbished the rumours.

‘These reports could not be more wrong,' says a statement from the girls. 'Papers often get things wrong but this one should win some sort of award!'
